digital art
Digital photography, combined with the latest in photo manipulation techniques, offers an almost unlimited scope in the creation of fantasy artworks.
An old photographer friend once equated the changes in the art resulting from the advent of digital photography to the process of making soup......
'Traditionally, a photographer would make the 'artistic soup' for the viewers pleasure by capturing unique images, but today, the photographer's role is often to source the right 'ingredients' to allow a digital manipulator to prepare & present the finished dish'.
Combining the role of photographer and digital manipulator, the images shown here were all created by designing a concept, finding & shooting a number of photographic ingredients, often from entirely different locations, & then digitally shaping, colouring & blending them together into the finished image.
The only real limit to the possibility of expression within this genre is the bounds of the creators' imagination.
They say the camera never lies,
but as for photoshop.......
